I feel the need to give an important disclaimer.
This site is about my autism, my brain, and my way of seeing the world. A lot of what I share here comes from things I’ve researched, tried, or thought through in my own attempt to understand myself and autism in general.
That means:
- I am not a doctor, therapist, or any kind of medical professional.
- Nothing here is medical, psychiatric, legal, or professional advice.
- Even if I sound confident, I am still just one autistic person talking about my own experience.
Please do not rely on this website to make decisions about your health, medication, or treatment.
If something I mention sounds useful or interesting, talk to a qualified medical or mental health professional first, and do your own research to see if it actually fits your situation.
About Humor and Offense
Sometimes I use humor, sarcasm, or autistic-flavored honesty when I write.
If a joke doesn’t land for you, or you find something offensive, I’m genuinely sorry it hit you that way. That’s not my goal.
At the same time, this site is also a space for me to be myself, including the kind of humor and perspective that makes sense in my own head.
If something bothers you:
- You’re allowed to disagree.
- You’re allowed to leave, skip that part, or ignore me.
- You’re not required to think I’m funny. (It would be nice, but not required.)
Bottom Line
Use this site as:
- One autistic person’s perspective
- A starting point for your own thinking and research
Not as:
- A diagnostic tool
- A treatment plan
- Universal truth about autism
Thank you for reading, for thinking for yourself, and for taking care of your own brain and body in the way that works best for you. I hope, in some way, this site still helps.
